TUCKAHOE – Two people were injured in a head-on collision here on Route 49 just west of Route 50 on Wednesday, Sept 23 at 4:31 p.m.
The Tuckahoe Fire Department had to remove the door of one car to rescue the driver.
According to state police Brittany Yeager, 18, of Upper Township was driving west when she crossed into the eastbound lane.
Joyce McPhilemy, 59, of Philadelphia, who was driving east, swerved into the westbound lane to avoid a crash, but Yeager moved back into the westbound lane and the vehicles crashed head-on.
Both drivers were taken to Atlanticare Regional Trauma Center in Atlantic City by Upper Township Rescue Squad and Atlanticare Paramedics.
The accident is under investigation by state troopers at the Woodbine station.
