UPDATED: Woman Identified in Fatal Car Crash

COURT HOUSE — A 51-year-old Whitesboro woman was killed Sept. 6 when the car she was operating crashed into a tree on Court House-Dennisville Road, near Goshen-Swainton Road.
According to police, they were dispatched to the area at 2:09 p.m. for a report of a one-car motor vehicle accident that had crashed into a tree.
Police on scene found a Honda Civic, operated by a Nilka Williams, crashed into a tree head on. The vehicle had been traveling southbound on Court House-Dennisville Road when it left its lane of traffic, crossing into the northbound lane of travel and crashing into a tree as the driver approached a curve in the roadway.
Emergency personnel responding to the scene found the driver to be deceased.
Responding to the scene were Middle Township EMS, Court House Fire Department, Middle Township Fire Police, Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and Cape May County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Court House-Dennisville Road was closed several hours for the investigation. Traffic was detoured through the Super Fresh parking lot. The road was reopened shortly before 5 p.m.
