UPDATED: Four-Car Crash Injures Two

RIO GRANDE — UPDATED: A four-car crash injured two people and crippled traffic on Route 9 at approximately 10 a.m. Mon., June 18.
The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of 3100 block of Route 9, near the Winterwood Gift & Christmas Shoppe. Traffic was stopped for the light at Satt Blvd.
Drivers involved in the accident were Joan Linde, Avalon, NJ; David Hughes, Cape May, NJ; Constant Rissling, Dias Creek, NJ; and Lillian Willie, Palmyra, NJ.
Mrs. Willie did not see traffic was stopped and crashed into a vehicle driven by Mrs. Rissling, which caused a chain reaction crash. Mrs. Rissling’s vehicle was pushed into Mr. Hughes’ vehicle, and then into a vehicle driven by Mrs. Linde.
Mrs. Rissling and Mr. Hughes suffered minor injuries.
Mrs. Willie received a summons for Careless Driving.
Traffic on Route 9 experienced a two-mile backup.
