UPDATE: Woman Who Drove Car off Bulkhead Charged With DUI

MAYVILLE — On June 21, at approximately 2:04 PM the Middle Township Police Department received a report
of a vehicle that was partially submerged in water at the Carol Nicoletta Memorial Park located at the end of
East Shellbay Avenue.
The car, driven by Jenna Davidson, 21, of Swedesboro, NJ, had been traveling east on Shellbay Avenue
and failed to stop in the parking area. Her car traveled over a concrete parking stop and continued east through
the park. It then ran through the deck railing of the fishing pier then plunged off of the bulkhead, stopping
nose down in the water.
Members of Court House Fire, Middle EMS, Court House Towing and Auto Tow responded to assist at the scene. The driver was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Davidson was charged with careless driving, driving while intoxicated, as well as driving an uninsured vehicle.
The crash is being investigated by Ptlm. Leon Linthicum and Ptlm. Rob McHale.
