RIO GRANDE — A 42-year-old woman was struck and killed as she crossed the southbound lanes of Route 47 near Sixth Street at approximately 6 p.m. Wed., Feb. 1.
According to Capt. John Edwards of the Middle Township Police, the woman, identified as 42-year-old Nancy Camp, had left ShopRite and was wearing dark clothing. A Chevrolet Blazer, driven by Rocco Cocchiola, 77, of Goshen, was headed southbound on Route 47 and struck Camp as she crossed highway. The driver was abiding by the speed limit and was not impaired.
