OCEAN VIEW– A two vehicle crash caused Route 550 to be shut down between Route 9 and Corsons Tavern Road on Tuesday afternoon. The crash occurred just east of the intersection.
Belleplain Emergency Corps and Ocean View fire department were dispatched to the scene shortly before 4. p.m.
No entrapment was reported however at least one person suffered minor injuries. Bystanders on scene said the driver of the van got out confused and said he fell asleep at the wheel.
State troopers at the Woodbine station are investigating.
