Two Boaters Injured in Mudbar Mishap

AVALON MANOR — Middle Township and Avalon firefighters were dispatched for a water rescue assignment Fri., Aug. 31 about 11:55 a.m. when two boaters were reportedly injured when their boat hit a mud bar just north of Leonard’s Lane Bridge on Avalon Boulevard.
According to police scanner reports, the injuries were not life threatening, and were likely broken limbs.
Avalon Fire Department launched a rescue boat and was attempting to get to the injured boaters.
Court House firefighters were also dispatched.
