PETERSBURG — At least three people were injured, one seriously in a head-on-collision that occurred here in front of 971 Route 50 around 1:50 p.m. on Monday, July 6.
The Upper Township Rescue Squad, Medic 8 and the Tuckahoe Fire Department were dispatched to the scene with State Police.
Four people were reported to be injured including a 3 year-old, according to reports.
South Star was requested to fly one victim to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center’s trauma unit in Atlantic City.
The flight crew reported the victim to be a 24 year-old female in stable condition with fractured arm and possible head injury.
Additional victims were transported to Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, according to reports.
Route 50 was shut down for approximately one hour as crews worked to clear the wreckage.
The accident is under investigation by troopers at the Woodbine station.
