Police Seek Hit and Run Vehicle/Driver

By Press Release

VILLAS – On the evening of Sunday April 14 at 8:39 p.m., an unknown vehicle struck a parked car on Townbank Road, near the intersection of Leaming Avenue,
The owner of the parked car reported hearing a loud bang while they were inside their residence. They exited the residence and found extensive damage done to the driver’s side of their car. The only other vehicle they could see in the area was further down Townbank Road, heading west toward the bay. This vehicle was too distant for them to provide a description, but they said it sounded as if it was dragging something on the roadway.
From paint transfer observed on the victim’s vehicle, it appears the color of the colliding vehicle was a light color, possibly white or light grey. This vehicle would have damage to its front passenger side, which would likely continue down most of the passenger side. It could be a larger vehicle, such as an SUV or pick-up truck, due to the extensive damage it caused and the lack of any parts from it left at the scene.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the hit and run vehicle or driver is requested to contact Patrolman Dickinson at (609)886-2711.
