Police, Firefighters Respond to Fall at Flanders Hotel

OCEAN CITY — Police and firefighters responded Jan. 27 at approximately 9:43 a.m. to the Flanders Hotel at 11th Street and Ocean Avenue to investigate a report that a man had fallen from the roof.
When officers arrived, they found a male subject, later identified as Ed Wicks, 49, of Northfield, lying on the ground. He had fallen from a first floor deck near the pool area, police said.
Wicks was transported to Shore Memorial Hospital with injuries to his head, left leg and left wrist.
