Ocean City Body Surfer Rendered Unconscious

By Harry B. Scheeler Jr.

OCEAN CITY — The Ocean City Fire Department and Medic 8 responded to the 42nd Street beach at 4:21 p.m. for a report of an unconscious person.
When they arrived they requested a medevac to fly for a person with a possible neck fracture going in and out of consciousness.
South Star landed at the Ocean City Municipal Airport to airlift the victim to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Trauma Center in Atlantic City.
The flight crew reported the victim to be a 26-year-old female in stable condition. She was reportedly body surfing when she struck her head in the surf and was rendered unconscious.
