North Wildwood Body Surfer Critically Injured in Diving Accident

NORTH WILDWOOD– A body surfer was seriously injured in a diving accident Monday afternoon.
North Wildwood Fire Department was dispatched to the scene on the 15th street beach just before 3:30 p.m., where lifeguards were rendering aide to the victim.
South Star medevac was requested to responded to transport the victim to the trauma unit at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
The flight crew reported the 20’s male to be paralyzed and in critical condition. Seven minutes out from the hospital the flight crew reported using a Life Support technique to take over breathing for the patient.
