By Harry B. Scheeler Jr.

DENNISVILLE– Christopher Anderson, 13, of Dennis Twp was struck while riding his bike out of the parking lot of the Citgo gas station on Monday, Oct 26.
Anderson was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center in stable condition by Belleplain Emergency Corps and Medic 9.
According to Kellie Anderson, her son was then transported to Atlanticare Regional Trauma Center in Atlantic City for further observation. Her son was later released from the regional trauma center with road rash and bruises.
The teen’s mom says the accident was not the pick-up driver’s fault. Police have identified the driver as Thomas Papperman. According to troopers, Papperman was unable to avoid the collision with Anderson, and no charges are pending.
Anderson said she wishes to thank everyone who helped take care of her son, and she offers a special thanks to Tom DeCecco who stayed with her son till he was taken to the hospital. “I just thank God he is okay,” she said.
