Driver Extricated After Crashing Into Wildwood Home

WILDWOOD – At approximately 11:45 p.m. on October 15, a white, four-door sedan was traveling westbound on Maple Avenue when it lost control and collided with a parked vehicle.
After the collision, the vehicle veered right into a home, 209 Maple Avenue.
The car crashed through a cinder block foundation up to the top of the windshield, under a porch.
Wildwood Fire and Rescue was on scene to extricate an unidentified male from the vehicle. It took approximately 15 minutes for responders to cut the vehicle apart and free the driver.
It is unknown of the driver’s condition at this time, as well as if the house was occupied.
The accident remains under investigation by the Wildwood Police Department.
