Driver Damages Headstones in Cemetery

COLD SPRING- Lower Township police were called to St. Mary’s Cemetery at 1056 Seashore Road before 9 a.m. Fri. June 18 to survey damage caused to headstones by a vehicle overnight.
One headstone was broken which has an estimated replacement cost of $2,500. Three others were knocked over but were set back in place by cemetery workers.
It appears a vehicle went off a road in the cemetery at some speed, knocking over the headstones. Police were seeking a vehicle with damage to its undercarriage.
