PALERMO – Seaville Fire Rescue and Upper Township EMS were dispatched to Route 9 and Harry’s Court for a motor vehicle crash Nov. 22 shortly before 1:30 p.m., according to Seaville Fire Rescue’s Facebook page.
Upon arrival, responders reported a single vehicle crash into a pole with one victim trapped in the vehicle.
A Medevac helicopter was requested due to the nature of the patient’s injuries.
Rescue Engine 1932 responded. Rescue Engine 1932’s crew quickly extricated the sole occupant from the vehicle, where the patient was transported by EMS to a landing zone, where they were then transported by helicopter to the trauma center.
Route 9 remained closed for several hours while Atlantic City Electric restored power.
The crash is under investigation by New Jersey State Police.
