Crash Into Building Injures Driver

VILLAS – Members of the Lower Township Police Department Patrol Division responded to a store located in the 1000 block of Bayshore Road in the Villas section of Lower Township for a report of a motor vehicle crash, which resulted in a collision with the store building Aug. 12 at 8:48 p.m.
The initial investigation revealed that the driver of the first vehicle, a 19-year-old male from Newtown Pa., was attempting to make a u-turn on Bayshore Road when he turned into the path of the second vehicle that was traveling northbound on Bayshore Road.
As a result, the driver of the first vehicle collided with the second causing her to veer off the roadway and into the building.
The driver of the second vehicle was a 19-year-old female from Villas who sustained serious injuries and was flown to Cooper Medical Center in Camden, N.J.
