Couple on Tandem Bike In Crest Hit by Vehicle

WILDWOOD CREST – Wildwood Crest Police received numerous 911 calls at 10:41 a.m. Aug. 2 reporting a motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist at Morning Glory Road and Atlantic Avenue. 
Responding officers found the victims, Anita Bullock, 74, and her husband William Bullock, 74, of Williamstown, seriously injured and unresponsive. The couple was operating a tandem bicycle when the accident occurred. The driver of the vehicle, Lori Cappella, of Ridley Park, Pa., stopped immediately and attempted to render first aid to the couple. Wildwood Crest Rescue along with Wildwood City Fire/Rescue responded and transported the couple to a medevac helicopter where they were air lifted to AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center, City Division in Atlantic City.
At this time the accident is under investigation by the Wildwood Crest Detective Bureau with the assistance of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office. The Trauma Unit did not release the couple’s condition at the time of this release.
