Bridgeton Woman Charged in Route 47 Rollover

By Harry B. Scheeler Jr.

GOSHEN— Cynthia Swanson, 40, of Bridgeton was charged with careless driving by Middle Township Police after her vehicle lost control and rolled over on Route 47 at mile post 13.4, on Saturday, May 9, just before 6:00 p.m.
Bystanders said they heard the tire blow out prior to the crash and theorized that may have been what caused the Lincoln Navigator to loose control and overturn, however police say the blowout was attributed to the driver’s excessive speed and the force applied when the vehicle swerved on the road.
The Goshen Fire Department and Rio Grande Rescue Squad were dispatched to the scene. One minor injury was reported.
