The Cape May County 4-H Cloverbuds Club held a “Get Moving-Get Healthy” Activity Night at their regular meeting on February 23.
Kindergarten through third grade members and prospective members participated in the 4-H interactive exhibit, “Get Moving-Get Healthy,” part of a statewide initiative by Rutgers Cooperative Extension to encourage healthy eating habits and exercise.
The New Jersey 4-H Cloverbuds program is designed to introduce K-3 youth to the wide variety of 4-H project experiences, which are available to them upon reaching 4th grade.
Cloverbuds learn how to get along with others, explore a variety of interest through hands-on activities, and build self-confidence through healthy experiences.
Michelle Schuler, co-leader along with her husband Dan of the Cape May County Cloverbuds Club for over four years, invites interested K-3rd graders and their parents to come to a meeting to see for themselves how fun 4-H can be.
“We watch our Cloverbuds grow from shy children who won’t even look at you into confidant public speakers who interact well with others. Their experiences in 4-H make an impression that lasts a lifetime,” SAID SCHULER.
The group meets the last Monday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Office, 355 Court House-S. Dennis Rd., in front of Atlantic Cape Community College, in Cape May Court House.
