COURT HOUSE – At its Monday, Oct. 16, meeting, the Middle Township Committee introduced an ordinance expanding the memorial dedication program. Those wishing to remember deceased individuals and families will have the choice of dedicating trees, bricks or benches or installing memorial plaques on township property.

The introduced ordinance sets out the application process and required fees. Locations are subject to the final approval of the township. Fees run from $175 for a 9-by-9-inch memorial brick to $1,000 for a dedicated bench and memorial plaque. Dedicated trees will range from $300 to $500 depending on the size of the tree species.

The ordinance will come up for final reading and potential adoption at the Monday, Nov. 20, committee meeting.
