Sea Isle City Special-Edition Beach Tags Available Now

By Press Release

SEA ISLE CITY — Sea Isle City’s 2011 beach tags are now available. As was the case in 2010, Sea Isle City is once again offering regular beach tags to the general public and free special-edition beach tags to veterans and active military personnel for the upcoming summer season.
Beach tags are required on all of Sea Isle City’s beaches for every beachgoer, age 12 and older, Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. However, Wednesdays in Sea Isle City are “Free Beach Days,” when no beach tags are required.
Sea Isle City’s 2011 seasonal, weekly and daily beach tags cost the same as in 2010. Seasonal tags purchased before May 15 cost $15 each ($20 after May 15), weekly tags (for Saturday-to-Saturday use) cost $10 each and daily tags cost $5 each.
This spring, 2011 beach tags can be purchased at City Hall, 4416 Landis Avenue, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Beach tags can also be purchased by visiting www. seaislecitynj.us, where you can click on the “Government Downloadable Forms” link and print a 2011 Beach Tag Application, which can be mailed to City Hall to reserve your beach tags.
No beach tags will be sent through the mail.
From April 15 through Memorial Day Weekend, Sea Isle City’s 2011 beach tags will be available seven days a week at the Beach Tag Office, 125 JFK Boulevard.
From Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, the Beach Tag Office will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. everyday except Wednesdays. During the summer months, beach tags can also be purchased from beach tag inspectors, who can be found at many beach entrances and walking along the sand.
For the second year in a row in Sea Isle City, free seasonal beach tags are being offered to United States veterans and active military service members, courtesy of VFW Post No. 1963.
These special-edition beach tags, which can only be used by vets and military personnel, are available at the VFW, 301 41st Street (at the base of the Sea Isle Bridge).
To obtain these free beach tags, valid “D.D.214” discharge papers or active military service membership identification cards must be shown. Five-hundred veterans/military tags will be available while supplies last from April 1 through May 30, on Wednesdays (2-5 p.m.), Fridays (2-6 p.m.), Saturdays (2-5 p.m.), and Sundays (2-5 p.m.).
