Nearly 1,300 of the best grade school wrestlers in the country once again came to the Wildwoods Convention Center Feb. 5 to 7.
The teams battled for a team championship in elementary and middle school age groups. In 2016, there were 34 middle school teams, plus 48 elementary school teams.
The weekend started with pool wrestling and pool winners advancing to the championship bracket. All teams began wrestling Friday morning, Feb. 5 and continued all day Saturday and Sunday, Feb 6-7. Seven to 10 dual meets were planned for each team in both divisions.
