Middle Township Wrestling equaled a school record with seven Region 8 qualifiers including District 31 Champion Romeo Rodriguez at 126lbs. Carson Haas (145), Dave Giulian (160), Karl Giulian (170), Kyle Matthews (182), Marcus Hebron (195), and Dawson Tallant (220) all placed third.
Rodriguez earned a bye through to the semifinal round where he won by fall in the third period over Tom Hoffman of Williamstown. In the final, he came from behind to beat Gianni Danze of Saint Augustine 6-4.
Dave Giulian and Marcus Hebron are the first freshman from Middle Township to qualify for Region 8 since 2001. Carson Haas moved into fifth all-time in school history in wins with 82. Carson, Karl Giulian and Kyle Matthews became two-time Region qualifiers.
