Lower Township Recreation Basketball League Brings Community to the Court

VILLAS — The Lower Township Recreation Center is host to a number of fans, friends and family members who come out to cheer on young basketball stars who take the court during high-spirited games every Fri. night and Sat. through the month of Feb. and into early March.
On Fri. evenings, beginning at 5 p.m., basketball players in fifth through eighth grade girls and fifth and sixth grade boys compete against each other. On Saturdays, beginning at 9 a.m. with the pint-sized athletes in kindergarten, basketball teams set their skills against others in their respective grade appropriate leagues through 1 p.m.
Community support for these hardworking athletes and volunteer coaches is always welcome during these free games.
