WILDWOOD – The Lower Cape May Regional High School football team made the short trip to Wildwood High School on Saturday Sept. 30 to earn their first win of the season, 58-0.
Senior quarterback Brennan Ray scored a game-high three touchdowns in the first half to help the Caper Tigers go into halftime with a comfortable 25-0 lead. Darion Lamar also added a touchdown in the first half.
Aaron Cottrell started off the third quarter with scoring two long run touchdowns while Lamar added one. Tony Kapurelos returned a 40-yard interception and Eric Konczyk scored one in the fourth quarter.
Lower Cape May is now 1-3 and will have a bye week in Week 5. They will return home Friday Oct. 13 to face Oakcrest at 7 p.m. in Erma.
Wildwood drops to 0-4 and will travel to Gloucester Catholic (3-0) on Saturday morning. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. in Gloucester City.
