Local Lifeguards Pack a Punch in National Tournament

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – Diamond Beach Patrol’s Gavin Loughlin and Wildwood Beach Patrol’s Bella Taylor both represented their patrols in the U – 19 United States Lifeguard Association (USLA) National Lifeguard Championships.
According to information in a release, the tournament was held Aug 7. in Virginia Beach, Va.
Taylor is returning to Wildwood as the U.S. Surfski and Ironwoman National Champion.
Loughlin was a runner up to Longport Beach’s Joey Tepper in the Ironguard, Run Swim Run, and Surf Swim competitions.
Loughlin also won the Paddle Board race.
The tournament is a part of the USLA National Lifeguard Championships, which runs until Aug. 10.
