High School Scores: Sept. 26-Oct. 1

Boys’ Soccer
On Sept. 26, Lower Cape May hosted Pleasantville and won, 2-1, in overtime. Patrick Moore scored the game winning goal for the Caper Tigers. Cape May Tech won 6-0 at home against St. Joseph. Zach Kershaw led the Hawks with 3 goals. Wildwood Catholic won 7-2 at home against Buena Regional. Beck Lindsay and Jarred Wallace each scored 2 goals for the Crusaders. Wildwood won 5-3 at Clayton. Dennis McAllister led the Warriors with 3 goals.
On Sept. 28, Wildwood Catholic won 4-1 at Pleasantville. Olaf Seria, Beck Lindsay, Tyler Mericle and Jared Wallace each scored for the Crusaders. Middle Township hosted Absegami and won, 3-1. Christian Rafter, Brendan Forrest and Trent Canter each scored for the Panthers. Cape May Tech fell 4-3 in overtime against Buena Regional. Owen Crickett scored all of the Hawks’ goals and Nick Deritis had 24 saves. Wildwood fell 1-0 at home to Salem. Josh Marsden had 4 saves for the Warriors.
On Sept. 30, Wildwood won 2-1 at Gloucester. Tyler Tomlin and Dennis McAllister scored for the Warriors. Ocean City hosted Millville and won, 3-0. Luke Varallo, Matt Brook and Josiah Nistorenko each scored for the Red Raiders. 
Girls’ Soccer
On Sept. 26, Middle Township hosted Oakcrest and won, 2-1. Bridget Ruskey scored both of the Panthers’ goals. Ocean City won 3-0 at Holy Spirit. Kasey Yunghans, Carly Reighard and Tori Rolls each scored for the Red Raiders. Lower Cape May fell 1-0 in double overtime at Absegami. Marissa Giancola had 11 saves for the Caper Tigers. Wildwood Catholic fell 6-1 at Buena Regional. Juilanna Roche scored the lone goal for the Crusaders. Wildwood fell 4-0 at home against Clayton. Michelle Lugo made 9 saves for the Warriors.
On Sept. 28, Wildwood won 3-1 at Salem. Maddie McCracken scored 2 goals for the Warriors while Mackenzie McCracken added one. Ocean City won 2-0 at home against Lower Cape May. Rylee McDonnell and Delaney Lappin each scored for the Red Raiders. Marissa Giancola had 13 saves for the Caper Tigers. Middle Township won 2-1 on the road at Absegami. Nadine Coyle and Bridget Ruskey each scored for the Panthers.
On Sept. 30, Wildwood hosted Gloucester and won, 6-0. Maddie and Mackenzie McCracken each scored 2 goals in the Warriors’ win. Jen Collins and Jeishka Hernandez each added a goal. 
Field Hockey
On Sept. 26, Lower Cape May fell 7-0 at home against Mainland Regional. Mary Miller had 24 saves for the Caper Tigers.
On Sept. 27, Ocean City won 8-0 at Millville. Rialee Allen led the Red Raiders with 3 goals. Middle Township tied 3-3 in overtime at St. Joseph. Jenna Herlihy had 2 goals for the Panthers.
On Oct. 1, Ocean City hosted state powerhouse Oak Knoll and won, 3-2. Juila Herrington, Grace Steele and Britney Stein each scored for the Red Raiders. Maddie Kahn had 12 saves.
Girls’ Tennis
On Sept. 26, Middle Township won 4-1 at Oakcrest. Ocean City hosted Absegami and won, 5-0. Wildwood fell 5-0 at Pennsville. 
Cross Country
In girls’ race action on Sept. 27, Lower Cape May won 50-15 at home against Oakcrest. Christina Adams, Iris Sanchez and Mishell Sanchez finished in the top three spots for the Caper Tigers. Addie Wedzel placed third in Cape May Tech’s tri-meet against Cedar Creek and Pleasantville.
In boys’ race action on Sept. 27, Lower Cape May won 36-25 at home against Oakcrest. Mark Nelson and Will Berger finished in the top two spots for the Caper Tigers. Jack Gomar finished sixth in Cape May Tech’s tri-meet against Cedar Creek and Pleasantville.
