U8: Storm vs. Deptford Extreme: Cape Express played a very intense game against Deptford Extreme. Katelyn Walker did an amazing job in goal. Ella Harkins and Betsy Pappas kept the ball moving. Gabby Oliver had a beautiful score on goal.
U9: Showstoppers vs. Hamilton Wildcats: Grace Repici and Reagan Flickinger dominated the game with their ability to be versatile on the field. Sianna King and Carmen O’Hara kept the pressure with their hard work and non-stop hustle.
U12: Sand Sharks-3 vs. Indian Mills Warriors-2: Abby Ridgway stepped into a new role at center mid for the day and delivered 2 goals to help propel the Sand Sharks to victory over Indian Mills. The reconfigured defense anchored by Kayla Kilroy, Kara McLaughlin, and Skyla Bowyer played very well together. Delaney Robb and Molly McGuigan combined in goal to keep the Warriors at bay for most of the game. Strong play from Allie Sutter, Anna Smith, Michela Francesconi, Karlee Mets, Maddyn McAnaney, and Julia Radzieta kept the pressure on all day. Elaina Nelson’s first goal of the spring put the Sand Sharks on top for good.
U13: Comet 4-0 vs. Atlantic United Adrenaline: The Comets behind a complete team effort defeated the Adrenaline 4 to 0. Carly Lashley scored the first two goals on an assist from Taylor Magill. Her second goal came off a crossing pass from Jordan Dougherty. Riley Fisher scored the third goal in first half on a pass from Morgan Adams. Madison Haring found Jordan Dougherty open in front for the Comets final goal. Isabella Aftanis and Victoria Hutchison controlled the midfield. Stephanie Carey and Carmen Licata played outstanding on offence and defense. Shelby Repici anchored the back line. Brynn Bock recorded her third shutout.
U14: Hurricanes 2 vs Hammonton Heat 2: Sophia Terenik put on a clinic in the net. Kira Sides had a couple of goals. The defense tried out a flat back four with Alana Warf, Kristal Stahler, Layla Francis and Hadden Miller.
Boys
U9: Hammerheads vs. Vineland Thunder; James Papanikolaou and Chase Critchfield scored for the Hammers to start things off. Simon Hardin and Donnie Nelson held firm on D. Joe Berrodin and Philip Woodrow held firm in the net.
U9: Heat vs. Maple Shade Avengers: Amine Cheriffi scored two goals with great offensive assistance by Matthew Radzieta and Dominick Morrero. Cooper Daly took charge on holding the defensive line.
U10: Blue Vipers vs. Moorestown Predators: The Vipers had another strong game with a 2-2 tie against Moorestown. Chase McCray led the defense while goals were scored by Boussad Bouabbache and George Karapanagiotis.
U10: Breakers vs. Barrington Chelsea: The Breakers struck early on a pass from Jack Del Monte which Gabe Schmitz finished into the net. Chelsea rallied back quickly on a breakaway and then took the lead off a Breakers’ own goal. Undeterred the Breakers reorganized, led by Matthew James who connected with Anthony Trombetta for a goal to draw even and finish out the first half. Early in the second half, Deron Azille launched a sideline attack from the defensive zone, penetrating deep into Chelsea territory, and finished with a blistering strike. Tommy Shagren, continuing to work hard for the Breakers’ offense, sent a through ball to Anthony Trombetta who shot low and outside to secure a final goal. Goalkeepers Sawyer Lomax and Ethan Morford each made important saves to keep the Breakers in the hunt.
U11: Blitz-1 vs. Monroe YS United ‘05-4: Isiah Carr-Wing scored on an assist from Evan Merritt. Ryan Dougherty was strong in midfield. Branden McGrath and Patrick Feketics were solid on the backline.
U12: Union-1 vs. Swedesboro Force-2: Miguel Valencia scored Union’s only goal. Tommy Carr and Brendan Davis played well.
U14: Force-1 vs. Woodbury Avalanche-4: A lopsided result for what was a balanced hard fought battle. The first half was back and forth with opportunities for each side. Great mid field play by Andrew Weber, along with solid defensive effort led by Scott Fiore, maintained a scoreless 35 minutes. A quick two goals by Woodbury opened the second half and a PK put the game out of reach. Jimmy Kurtz scored for the Force to break-up the shutout.
