Basketball wins from the weekend: Jan. 12-15
Girls
In Jan. 12 action, Wildwood Catholic freshman Marianna Papazoglou led the Crusaders to a 50-13 win against Pleasantville by scoring 26 points with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Middle Township won 42-18 at home against Buena Regional. Sophomore Kira Sides led the hosts with 21 points.
Ocean City kept their unbeaten streak alive with a 61-35 road win at Lower Cape May. Abbey Fenton led the Red Raiders with 12 points with Kilie Wyers adding 11 points and Danielle Donoghue and Tori Rolls each adding ten points. Olivia Levin scored a game-high 17 points for the Caper Tigers.
Boys
In Jan. 12 action, Lower Cape May won big at rival Ocean City, 55-40. Pat Holden and Zach Cerasi led the Caper Tigers with 16 points each with Martin Anguelov adding 12 points. For the Red Raiders, Donovan Graham led with ten points.
Kyion Flanders led Wildwood to a 82-65 road win at Pennsville by scoring a game-high 21 points with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Wildwood Catholic won 85-67 at home against Pleasantville. Brothers Caleb and Charles Fields scored 20 points apiece for the Crusaders in the victory.
On Jan. 15, the Crusaders earned a huge victory by taking down St. Augustine Prep at home, 65-61, to remain undefeated so far this season. Taj Thweatt led the hosts with 16 points with Caleb Fields adding 14 points, Jacob Hopping adding 13 and Matt Capozzoli adding 11 points.
