Saturday, November 29- Small Business Saturday: The Washington Street Mall is joining in this celebration of small, local businesses. This American Express promotion reminds folks to Shop Small this holiday season.
Friday, December 5: 7pm- Cape May Christmas Tree Lighting: Visit the Washington Street Mall on December 5 and join in the official tree lighting ceremony at the Victorian Bandstand in Rotary Park. The park is located in the center of town adjacent to the Washington Street Mall. Listen to a reading of the Night before Christmas, enjoy the Cape May Harmonaires Barbershop Singers and visit with Santa. It’s a great way to get into the spirit of Christmas.
Saturday, December 6: 5pm-8pm- West Cape May Christmas Parade: The 48th annual West Cape May Christmas parade begins at 5pm at the West Cape May Firehouse and marches south on Broadway to Perry St., and onto Carpenter Lane at the Washington Street Mall. For a true hometown experience…put a day of shopping & the parade on your holiday calendar to-do list.
Thursday, December 11 & Friday, December 12: 7pm-9pm- Annual Hospitality on the Washington Street Mall: The Washington Street Mall hosts its annual Open House. Enjoy good cheer, visit your favorite shops, and join in on the caroling as you finish your Christmas shopping. You might even spot Santa!
Evening Shopping Hrs. on the Washington Street Mall: December 11-23: Many shops along the Washington Street Mall will be open till 8pm from December 11 to 23. Shop by thousands of twinkle lights after work and find unique gifts. Bring your friends, plan to stay for dinner… we will be waiting for you! Christmas Candlelight House Tours: December 6, 13 & 27: The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) offers three Saturday evening house tours, opening a selection of Cape May’s festively decorated inns, private homes and churches for self-guided tours. Holiday lights trolley tours are available nightly. Tickets are available at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth (at Ocean St.) or at www.capemaymac.org.
Cape May Carriage Company: Just steps from the Washington Street Mall, on the corner of Ocean & Washington Sts., you will find your horse & carriage awaiting you. There is nothing like the sound of sleigh bells and bundling up for a carriage ride to see the beautifully decorated historic Victorian homes.
