Residents in Easter Finery Parade on Mall

CAPE MAY – The Annual Easter Fashion Stroll sponsored by the City of Cape May and the Washington Street Mall Management Association was be held on the Washington Street Mall Sunday April 4.
A variety of ribbons, prizes, treats and gift certificates for winners were provided by mall merchants. The event was highlighted by a visit from the Easter Bunny sponsored by the Original Fudge Kitchen and Dairy Queen.
Contestants of all ages paraded in their Easter finery for the judges in a number of categories which include: Ages 3 and under, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13 and up, Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Man, Best Dressed Couple and Best Dressed Family. Awards were given to the first and second place boy and girl in each of the children’s categories.
Linda Steenrod, Bob Elwell, Dawn DeMayo served as judges with Mayor Edward J. Mahaney Jr. as master of ceremonies. The event was favored with good weather, a temperature of 65 degrees under blue skies.
