Pirates and Princesses Flocked to “Boo at the Zoo”

COURT HOUSE – Freeholder Vice-Director M. Susan Sheppard and the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders hosted the annual “Boo at the Zoo” event on Oct. 27 at the Cape May County Park and Zoo. The free event included games, educational stations, candy and entertainment.
There was a Halloween Costume Dance Contest with prizes awarded to first, second and third place winners in categories ranging from infants and toddlers to groups. Also, visitors enjoyed a “Carnival Creature Freak Show”, a performance by the First Trance Comedy Hypnotist plus a Stiltwalker and a strolling Magician.

The Cape May County Park and Zoo is located on Route 9 North in Cape May Court House, exit 11 off the Garden State Parkway. The free Zoo is open, weather permitting, 364 days a year – closed on Christmas Day. Currently, the zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
