COURT HOUSE – Learn the benefits of eating seasonally at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Family and Community Health Sciences (FCHS) workshop, “Eating Seasonally,” Sept. 30.

According to a release, the program, part of the on-going Wellness Workshop Series offered by FCHS, will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Court House-South Dennis Road, Court House.

Chris Zellers, interim, part-time, FCHS educator, stated, “By choosing fruits and vegetables in season you get all of the benefits – food that tastes good, is good for you and is reasonably priced.”

Participants at the Eating Seasonally workshop will not only learn the benefits of eating seasonally but will also learn skills to plan and prepare meals that take advantage of seasonal foods, and the importance of increasing consumption of vegetables and fruits.

A light fall supper will be served. The cost of the workshop is $15 and advanced registration is required by Sept. 25.

Space is limited, so, reserve early. Call Marian at (609) 465-5115, ext. 3609 or email marian.courtney@co.cape-may.nj.us  for information or to register.
