SHARING FROM THE WILDWOOD CREST POLICE DEPARTMENT:
WILDWOOD CREST – The Wildwood Crest Police Department is aware of an ongoing scam related to the COVID-19 outbreak surrounding a statewide and national shelter in place order.
According to a release, “Please know that this information, often passed along via text messaging, is FALSE and no such order has been issued at this time. These SCAMS are meant to sow fear and confusion and result in unnecessary burdens on some of our most critical infrastructure including food supply.”
For accurate and up-to-date information, visit the official websites of local, state, and national organizations.
As always, the Wildwood Crest Police Department will keep updated on the latest information regarding the COVID-19 outbreak and pass that info along as soon as it becomes available to the public.
