COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Historical and Genealogical Society is committed to maintaining a healthy environment for its volunteers, guests, and staff. Because of that, the Museum of Cape May County as well as the Robert C. Alexander research library will close temporarily.

According to a release, the board of trustees of the society has been closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 as it makes its way throughout our state and neighboring areas.

In light of recent developments, the board has chosen to cancel all scheduled events and temporarily close the Museum of Cape May County as well as the Robert C. Alexander research library to all on-site use from March 13 through April 5. It is anticipated the campus will reopen April 6.

Staff members will have electronic access to The Museum’s website and email accounts.

Inquiries and requests made via the telephone system will be returned.
