AMI Foundation Announces Mobile Mammography Van Schedule

WILDWOOD CREST — The AMI Foundation’s Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van will visit 14 locations in four New Jersey counties in June. The June 2017 schedule is as follows:
Cape May County:
June 20: Borough of Wildwood Crest Municipal Bldg., Wildwood Crest
Atlantic County:
June 1: The ARC, Egg Harbor Township
June 2: Assumption School, Galloway
June 5: Spanish Community Center, Landisville
June 6: Pathmark, Ventnor
June 7: The Homestead, Elwood
June 15: Southern Jersey Family Medicine, Atlantic City
June 16: ShopRite, Hammonton
June 21: Southern Jersey Family Medicine, Pleasantville
June 22: Atlantic County Health Services, Northfield
June 28: Career Opportunity Development, Inc. (CODI), Egg Harbor City
June 29: ShopRite, Galloway
Cumberland County:
June 3: Cumberland County Block Party, Vineland
Ocean County:
June 9: Fulton Bank, Manahawkin
Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. A prescription may not be needed. Please call the scheduling department at 609-677-XRAY (9729) to make an appointment and to confirm hours of operation for specific locations.
The screenings are for women 40+ with no current or past breast issues. Screenings are processed through their insurance.
The AMI Foundation’s Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van travels throughout southeastern New Jersey to make breast cancer screening easier and more convenient. The custom-built, 38-foot van is completely self-contained. In addition to offering the latest digital mammography equipment, the van provides a comfortable waiting area and a private dressing room.
The mobile van’s radiology services are accredited by the American College of Radiology and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Mammography images are read by board-certified fellowship trained radiologists at Atlantic Medical Imaging.
