AMI Foundation Announces Mobile Mammography Van Schedule

The AMI Foundation’s Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van will visit 12 locations in three counties in August. The schedule is as follows:

Atlantic County

August 6 – Behavioral Crossroads, Egg Harbor Township

August 9 – Pleasantville Housing Authority, Pleasantville

August 14 – Community Foodbank, Egg Harbor Township

August 16 – Career Opportunity Development, Inc. (CODI), Egg Harbor City

August 17 – Integrity Medical Devices, Hammonton

August 21 – Airport Commerce Center, Egg Harbor Township

August 22 – Southern Jersey Family Medicine, Hammonton

August 24 – ShopRite, Hammonton

August 29 – Atlantic County Health Services, Northfield

Cumberland County

August 3 – La Unica Grocery, Vineland

August 10 – Argo Lucca, Vineland

Cape May County

August 7 – Big Timber Lake Camping Resort, Cape May Court House

Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. A prescription may not be needed. Please call the scheduling department at (609) 677-XRAY (9729) to make an appointment and to confirm hours of operation for specific locations.

The screenings are for women 40+ with no current or past breast issues. 

The AMI Foundation’s Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van travels throughout southeastern New Jersey to make breast cancer screening easier and more convenient. The custom-built, 38-foot van is completely self-contained. In addition to offering the latest digital mammography equipment, the van provides a comfortable waiting area and a private dressing room.

The mobile van’s radiology services are accredited by the American College of Radiology and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Mammography images are read by board-certified fellowship trained radiologists at Atlantic Medical Imaging.

The Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van services are made possible by funding from the AMI Foundation’s Mammography Screening Program and from Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey. For more information, visit www.amifoundation.net.
