The Wildwoods’ 2nd Annual Island Pumpkin Fest to Be Held Oct. 26

THE WILDWOODS — Come join in the Halloween Festivities at the 2nd Annual Island Pumpkin Fest on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy the festival in Fox Park and take a tractor-pulled hayride on the beach to pick your pumpkins out at the Great Pumpkin Patch.
The Festival takes place at Fox Park across from the Wildwoods Convention Center and on the Wildwoods’ Beach at Andrews Avenue. The festival in Fox Park will feature craft and food vendors, a crazy train for the kids, a pirate bounce house, a rock climbing wall and a costume contest. The costume contest will begin at 3 p.m. Live entertainment will feature country rock artist Dave Hangley and DJ entertainment by “DJ Eddy B” of “Good Time Music” and “DJ Master J” of “Master DJ and Sound LLC.”
The tractor pulled hayride to the Great Pumpkin Patch on the beach will begin on the beach at Andrews Avenue and will end behind the Wildwoods Convention Center – where the Great Pumpkin patch will be set up. Tickets for the hayride are $7 for children and $3 for adults – all ticket prices include one pumpkin per guest.
Why not make a weekend of it and come on Oct. 25 for the Wildwoods Boardwalk 5K Pumpkin run – a fun and exciting family event for all ages. The festive boardwalk event begins at 10 a.m. at the Wildwoods Convention Center, rain or shine, and offers a 5K run along with a one-mile family walk. Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes and vie for prizes in the best dressed categories of Family, Youth, Infant and Best All-Around. All proceeds benefit Wildwoods’ Elementary Schools located on the Island. All participants will receive a free Pumpkin Run T-shirt.
