By Press Release

STONE HARBOR – Bring your beach chairs & blankets and join us for our last Centennial Celebration of 2014! Our parade begins at 2:30 p.m. with festivities immediately following. The Lobster Bake is hosted by by the Washington Inn, Entertainment by Marnie & Nate and The Sensational Soul Cruisers, Family Games, Fireworks and more. As Mayor Suzanne Walters sums it up “We are looking forward to a fun filled day with family, friends and fabulous food to celebrate Stone Harbor’s 100th Birthday!”
Marnie & Nate open the stage at 3:30pm following the parade. They are an acoustic local duo that plays everything from classic rock to reggae. Marnie’s soulful voice and earthy vibrato shine through while singing the songs of Patsy Cline and Robert Plant alike. Nate’s remarkable guitar skills are refined and organic at the same time, filling each song with solid rhythm and intricate fills and leads.
Then the Sensational Soul Cruisers join the stage at 5:00 p.m. And they are certainly not just another 11-man vocal harmony group with horns. Relax and relive those feelings of listening to the sound of classic Philly Soul, Motown, Disco, Stax, and the music of Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago, and other such groups.
Activities and games for all ages will be from 2:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.: Dunk tank, foot races, face painting, pie-eating contest and more.

Tickets for the Lobster Bake are available for purchase through Stone Harbor Borough Hall or Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce office. Tickets must be purchased by Sept. 1. Other dinner and snack options will be available if you’re unable to purchase a lobster bake ticket in advance.
There will be designated areas on the lawn for your chairs and blankets as well as more formal dining available under a tent. A beer and wine garden, sponsored by the Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce is available to enjoy before and during the concert. This is a free outdoor event which the whole family can enjoy.
Fireworks will commence at nightfall (approximately 8:15 p.m.) This event is rain or shine!
