Quilting guilds and needleworkers from across the region will gather to exhibit their creations at the Quilt Show hosted by Historic Cold Spring Village, June 27-28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The show will include demonstrations, displays, vendors, quilt appraisals, music, and more. Creative and colorful quilts will be displayed at the Welcome Center, as well as throughout village grounds.
Guests can vote for their favorite quilt in various categories. Interactive quilting demonstrations and workshops will be offered on the 22-acre site including “Turning and Wash-Line.”
The Village’s historic buildings will also be open, where historical interpreters demonstrate trades and crafts of the 1800s. Vendors of quilting supplies will also be present, offering wares for beginners and advanced quilters.
Karen Dever, an AQS certified quilt appraiser will be available to evaluate your new and antique quilts on June 27.
Written appraisals are necessary for insurance coverage of antique, vintage, and new quilted textiles, and can be performed for a fee of $40 per item or $20 for an oral consultation.

Musical entertainment will be provided both days, including interactive dulcimer and spoon performances by Bonnie Leigh and Celtic tunes from folk singer Mary.
