Jennifer Parker founded the foundation, located in Somers Point, NJ, after developing a debilitating environmental illness from toxic mold exposure in her home, leaving her severely chemically sensitive. She became famous to the Philadelphia, tri state area for having to live in a tent in her mother’s back yard after losing her tolerance to common household chemicals and indoor environments. There are varying medical terms for this illness, such as Sick Building Syndrome MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) and Environmental Illness. The foundation is committed to improve the lives of those suffering by providing “safe” and health supporting housing for the most sensitive of sufferers also referred to as the silent & forgotten homeless.
