By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – Known for its world famous beaches and boardwalks, Cape May County, New Jersey, is the place for summer fun, but it doesn’t end with Labor Day! A visit to Cape May County in the fall offers award winning special events catering to family fun, history buffs, music lovers, and more. “The fall season is the favorite for locals and seasonal residents alike because of the perfect sunny skies, warm water, low humidity, and cooler nights”, according to Cape May County Chamber President, Vicki Clark, “and there is always something to do for the entire family”.
September kicks off with the Wings & Water Festival hosted by The Wetlands Institute; the Irish Festival in North Wildwood; and Sea Isle City’s Fall Family Festival. Highlights in October include Avalon’s Sea Food Festival; Indian Summer Weekend in Ocean City; The Pumpkin Festival at Historic Cold Spring Village; West Cape May’s Lima Bean Festival; the Garden State Wine Growers Festival on the grounds of the Cape May Lewes Ferry; the Fabulous Fifty’s Weekend in Wildwood; and the Governor’s Cup Hydrofest in Wildwood Crest. In November, you won’t want to miss Sherlock Holmes weekend in Cape May; Christmas in Stone Harbor over Thanksgiving weekend; and the Jersey Shore Stripper Tournament in Sea Isle. December is full of holiday activities, especially in Cape May with tours, theatre, and parades. Finally, say goodbye to 2011 and ring in 2012 in Ocean City with hundreds of First Night entertainment venues designed for family fun.
In addition to these festivals, car shows, antique shows, music festivals, craft shows, fishing tournaments, runs, walks, races, restaurant weeks, and more add to the fun of a fall visit to Cape May County.
