WILDWOOD CREST — Summer, the Jersey Shore and the music of Bruce Springsteen are set to come together for a magical evening of live entertainment.
The B Street Band, one of the longest-running tribute bands in the world, will perform many of the hits of Bruce Springsteen on July 11 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series.
Formed in Asbury Park in 1980, the B Street Band has performed from Maine to the Bahamas for more than three million people over the last 35 years. Fronted by lead singer Glenn Stuart, a Springsteen lookalike, the B Street Band has become one of the most requested and most popular bands along the East Coast. The six-piece band regularly performs many of Springsteen’s past and current crowd favorites, while also occasionally mixing in tunes by other popular rock artists. It is estimated the band has played in more than 800 different venues across 20 different states over the last 3 ½ decades, appearing at nightclubs, local fairs and festivals, corporate events, municipal music series and more. The B Street Band regularly performs in numerous Jersey Shore destinations each summer.
Saturday’s event is a free all-ages show. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair.
Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.
