What: an immersive event that creates empathy and understanding for dementia victims

When: Saturday, November 11, 9 a.m.

Where: Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 702 Seashore Road, Lower Township

Come to a “Dementia Live Experience” at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church to better understand the intense challenges that come with this neurological impairment. Dementia Live® is a high-impact, dementia simulation experience that immerses participants into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it’s like to live with cognitive impairment and sensory change. Kim Peterson , a Community Liaison with Visiting Angels, will present the event.

Volunteer to experience what it’s like to have dementia. Special glasses, gloves, and headphones are used to mimic the confusion of dementia.
