COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 17 indictments Sept. 10.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance. A “certain person” charge can be brought against individuals whose previous convictions bar them from having weapons.
David Flick, Mary Rickley and Jill Moran were named in a three-count indictment, with each facing a single separate count of third-degree possession of a CDS. The controlled substance was fentanyl.
Ramsey Woods faces a fourth-degree count of throwing bodily fluids at a member of the Sheriff’s Department.
Angelo Delgado was indicted on a single count of fourth-degree possession of a CDS, MDBM-4en-pinaca, a synthetic cannabinoid.
Jonathan Ramos faces a four-count indictment, for-third degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, a wooden stick, along with three fourth-degree counts for criminal mischief, obstruction the administration of law and certain person. Ramos was convicted in 2011 of possession of a CDS in the third degree.
Luis Rodrigues was indicted on six counts, two-second degree counts for burglary and endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, a knife. The final three counts were in the fourth degree, for certain person, unlawful possession of a weapon and contempt of a court order. The certain person count arises due to a 2007 conviction for robbery.
Ryan Robinson faces a single count of third-degree receiving stolen property, a 2016 Hyundai Tucson. The indictment states that Robinson received the property on July 4, 2023.
Maryellen Runion faces four fourth-degree counts, two for criminal trespass and two for contempt of a temporary restraining order imposed by the court just one month earlier.
Jeffrey Sanders was indicted on five counts, including two third-degree counts for aggravated assault, two counts for resisting arrest, one third degree and one fourth degree, and a fourth-degree count for aggravated assault. These all resulted from an interaction Sanders had with Cape May City Police.
Emily Walker faces a single count of third-degree possession of a CDS, methamphetamine.
Henry Voncolln was indicted for third-degree stalking and fourth-degree contempt of a restraining order.
Jorge Pinto-Rivera faces a four-count indictment, second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, a knife, and two fourth-degree counts, for unlawful possession of a weapon and certain person. The certain person counts arises due to a 1999 robbery conviction in Gloucester County.
Eric Badan was indicted on three counts relating to weapons violations. Badan was in possession of a 9 mm handgun, leading to a second-degree count for unlawful possession of a weapon. The indictment also had two fourth-degree counts, for prohibited weapons, a large-capacity magazine and hollow point bullets.
William Cortes was indicted for three counts of third-degree possession of a CDS. The controlled substances were methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl.
Robert Peterson and Karl Abbatiello were jointly indicted on three counts, including two third-degree counts for possession of a CDS, cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute. The third count was possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia in the fourth degree.
Jose McKeown faces two third-degree counts for possession of a CDS, methamphetamine and modafinil, a nonamphetamine stimulant.
Jose J. Castro-Custodio faces two fourth-degree counts, for criminal trespass and certain person. Castro-Custodio was convicted in 2015 of aggravated assault. The certain person count in the current indictment says he was in possession of a knife.
Andrew Jancsura was indicted for fourth-degree bail jumping when he failed to show up for a hearing on charges of third-degree possession of a CDS.
