Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up five indictments Jan. 21. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  

Thomas J. Maher was indicted on two counts, for attempt to defraud a drug test in the third degree and possession of a device for defrauding a drug test in the fourth degree.

David S. McCartney faces two third-degree counts, for possession of a CDS, fentanyl, and money laundering.

Michael L. Pezzano was named in a three-count indictment, with two counts of aggravated assault and one for resisting arrest, all counts in the third degree.

John A. Pettit faces a single third-degree count for possession of a CDS, methamphetamine.

Alexander J. Hudson was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, methamphetamine.
