Helicopters Called in After Route 47 Crash

GOSHEN – At least two people were airlifted after an accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Route 47 on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Reports posted via social media by Cape May Fire Wire said two medevac helicopters were requested for the accident, which occurred just before 4 p.m. Individuals at the site said the motorcycle and vehicle collided in the area of Bucks Avenue. Reports were that the motorcycle had a passenger.

The two helicopters, one from Jefferson Health and the second from Cooper Healthcare, were reported to have landed at the Cape May County Department of Mosquito Control to pick up the victims.

The Middle Township Police Department announced that the road was closed due to the accident.
