Obituary

GRAY, RANDLE

GRAY, RANDLE Randle "Randy" Gray, with love and sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of our beloved family member, Randy, 52 years old, of Villas and formerly of the Kensington Section of Philadelphia on April 19, 2024. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Randy passed into God's hands peacefully in his home surrounded and comforted by his loving family. In his elementary school years, Randy attended Holy Name of Jesus in the Fishtown area of Phil-adelphia, PA. In 1986 he moved with his family and attended and later graduated from Lower Cape May Regional High School, Class of 1990. Randy worked for many years at The Lobster House in Cape May as an expediter. There he gained many friends that he kept for a lifetime. After high school Randy worked as a vehicle appraiser for his family-owned business, Cliff Gray Appraisal and later went on to own and operate Randy Gray Appraisal Service. His laughter, humor and complete dedication to his children and absolute love for his nieces and nephews will never be forgotten. He always came up with the silliest songs and always found a way to give everyone he loved a nickname. He could remember a date, number, or fact within seconds. His recall of small details from the past were remembered with quick-ness and complete accuracy. Randy enjoyed many hobbies such as building, renovating, and fishing just to name a few. He loved fishing with his boys any time of the day. It wasn't about the fishing; it was always about the conversation. He loved nothing more than a battle of wits and spending time with those who he loved. We never dared to play trivia with him unless we were willing to lose. Randy was a loyal friend and great listener to many. It didn't matter the time of day or night; he was always just a phone call away. Randy fought so hard when he found out he had Leukemia. He had a 100% match for a stem cell transplant, which is a miracle in itself. He almost made it to that surgery. God had other plans. The pain we all feel from his passing is incomprehensible, but we will band together and be strong for him and his boys. He is dearly missed by his loving family which includes his sons, Joseph Randle Gray and Aiden Gray; his adoring mother, Mary Ellen "Marcy," and his siblings, Kimberly Spicer, Cliff III, Bill (Michele), Anthony (Helen), Coleen (Ryan) Morey and Shannon (Paul) Bucko. Funeral services are being held privately. Arrangements with Spilker Funeral Home, Cape May, condolences shared at spilkerfuneralhome.com
