Exterior, Landscaping Work Commences at Crest Arts Pavilion

WILDWOOD CREST – Phase II of the development of the Crest Arts Pavilion at 6301 Ocean Avenue has commenced.

This phase includes landscaping and exterior work to the building, which will remain open under normal operating hours through the construction.

The project, mostly funded through a $1.043 million grant from the Cape May County Open Space Program, includes the following:

– Pull-in parking with designated handicapped parking spaces, as well as four fast-charging electric vehicle parking spaces

– Two gas fire pits surrounded by comfortable seating

– Four picnic benches with free-standing umbrellas

– An oval stage with pergola for entertainment and other uses such as small weddings

– New brick pavers and concrete paths meandering throughout botanical gardens designed to thrive in Wildwood Crest’s coastal environment

– Wayfinding signs

– Bicycle repair station

All of the amenities related to the project are designed to complement the adjacent bike path and views of the beach.

The construction work is being performed by Schiavone Construction Company LLC. Most of the work is scheduled to be complete by early to mid May.

The Crest Arts Pavilion is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the winter months.
